Mnarani Secondary School is a government school which admitted its first student on 11th February 2009. To date it has a student population of 112 students. The school is located 5 km south of Kilifi town along the Kilifi - Mombasa highway.

The School is a boys and girls day school. The status and location of the school has greatly reduced the number of children from Mnarani who have been dropping out of formal education due to the high fees charged by the existing schools in the community. The school offers affordable and subsidized education to the children of the relatively poor Kilifi area.

There is an ongoing project to provide an ablution blocks for boys and girls

CURRICULUM OFFERED
The school offers the Kenyan education system referred to as the 8-4-4 education system. The subjects being offered include English, Kiswahili, mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry, history, geography, religious studies, agriculture and business studies. The school intends to introduce the teaching of computer studies and home science to broaden our curriculum.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
The school has active teams in football for both boys and girls and athletics. We aim to establish teams in handball, volleyball and basket ball.


CLUBS AND SOCIETIES
We have established the following clubs- Environment club, Young Farmers, Junior Achievement club and Scouting.

COMMUNITY SPONSORED ACTIVITIES
We planted 1500 seedlings of various species courtesy of the local Kenya Commercial Bank and the Forestry Department.

9. Acquire a school bus for students travel plans
10. Purchase an extra 5 acres for the school expansion
11. Enable the school to have an electricity supply
