The new borehole at Matsangoni Primary School is working well. It has an electrict pump automatically filling up the big tank. This pump is poweered by solar energy. The water is used for hand washing and irrigation for the vegtable garden. We must thank the contractor Collins and especialy Shadrack Mwadai for project managing the work. A great job. Obviously clean water helps with the children’s health and the vegtables improve the Special Need’s lunch programme with the surplus sold to aid school funds. A really big step forward for the school.
Konjora’s second classroom has been completed. It’s main function will be to house the Vocational training. A great step forward.
However, the Board of Management have asked if it could be used as a meeting room which could be hired out. The nearest one currently is in Kilifi. We have agreed to this idea with the BOM running it and the hiring fees going to the school.
To aid this idea we have purchased 100 chairs which again can be hired out for 10Bob/chair/day. Another fund raiser for the school. We will when funds allow buy another 100.
